Moustafa Mourad
Former President of the Global Board
"It is with immense sadness that I announce the passing away of Moustafa Mourad, President of the Global Board of the Heights and Minds Foundation. Moustafa was the first President of the Global Board and heavily influenced its mission and vision. He will be sorely missed.

At the time of his passing, Moustafa Mourad was the Executive Director of the JKH Foundation, the Social Corporate Responsibility arm of JKH Holdings. The Foundation carries out a number of developmental projects in India and the United States. The Foundation’s projects focus largely on digital literacy, capacity building, as well as employment and income generation, particularly for women.
Until 2015 Mr. Mourad was the President of One Global Economy, a nonprofit organization which he founded in 2005. Under Mr. Mourad’s leadership, One Global Economy provided technology training and relevant content in 17 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East and 3 overseas US Territories.
Previously, Mr. Mourad was also the Director of Planning, Design, and Development at the Enterprise Foundation, the second largest national community development intermediary in the United States, held positions as Senior Planner with the City of Boston, and City Planner for the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts and consulted for USAID, the Ford Foundation as well as the governments of Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Sudan.
