What We Do and Why We Do It
Childhood stunting is a condition in which children experience impaired growth and development due to malnutrition and frequent illness, leading to lifelong negative consequences.

The problem is clear—worldwide, over 150 million children are stunted and suffering the effects. They are more prone to illness, complete fewer years of schooling, earn lower wages as adults, and face a higher risk of chronic disease in early adulthood.

A stunted start in life is unfair—but it is also preventable.

Our vision is to ensure every child's first 1,000 days of life as the foundation for a happy, healthy, and productive life, free from malnutrition and rich in cognitive development opportunities.

Heights and Minds has a solution for this problem.

Our solution? The MindUp.

We developed an innovative, holistic child growth and development model to prevent stunting and are currently testing it in five countries—Senegal, Indonesia, Uganda, Malaysia, and India—as well as previously in Cambodia.

TESTIMONIALS
Heights and Minds Global Network

I have been attending the Minds Up center since my son was 7 months old. What interests me the most are the tasting sessions because my son eats well, and I can see the results—he is growing well. What motivates me to come here is the desire for my son to grow up healthy and strong.

The dishes shared with us are rich in vitamins and minerals, which is why I have abandoned all my previous habits and follow the recommendations of Keur Djaboot to take good care of my son. I cook the dishes that are recommended, and he eats everything I prepare for him.

Thank God, since the founding of the RRC [Indonesia based MindUp], namely since Azka, my first child was 3.5 years old. Now I have a second child who is 14 months old. I like everything, starting from harvest activities, learning with children, and cooking activities with mothers. With RRC, we can see children's development and know how to make nutritious food for children.

The MindUp program inspired me to participate because it supports moms like me in many ways, such as children's development and preventing stunting from pregnancy. The best thing to do in MindUp is the sensory playdate where you can see your children's progress in different area.
