What We Do and Why We Do It
Childhood stunting is a condition in which children experience impaired
growth and development due to malnutrition and frequent illness, leading
to lifelong negative consequences.
The problem is clear—worldwide, over 150 million children are stunted and suffering the effects. They are more prone to illness, complete fewer years of schooling, earn lower wages as adults, and face a higher risk of chronic disease in early adulthood.
A stunted start in life is unfair—but it is also preventable.
Our vision is to ensure every child's first 1,000 days of life as the foundation for a happy, healthy, and productive life, free from malnutrition and rich in cognitive development opportunities.
Heights and Minds has a solution for this problem.
Our solution? The MindUp.
We developed an innovative, holistic child growth and development model to prevent stunting and are currently testing it in five countries—Senegal, Indonesia, Uganda, Malaysia, and India—as well as previously in Cambodia.
